The municipality of Ciudad Colón often organizes social and cultural activities that impart a lot of cultural value to the community. The town is famous for its warm climate, proximity to nature and its surrounding mountains, folkloric traditions, horse riding, and multiculturalism.

A Pacific coast beach from Ciudad Colón is as little as an hour away. Jaco Beach takes about 90 minutes while the ferry in Puntarenas that goes to the Nicoya Peninsula (famous beaches) is about an hour and 15 minutes away.

Some of the common areas inside the Oasis Gardens Apartamentos complex in Ciudad Colón. The town is home to the University of Peace The University for Peace is an intergovernmental organization with university status, established by treaty at the United Nations General Assembly in 1980 and having its main campus in Costa Rica.

We're in a small town and so everything is close. The pharmacy, restaurants, the butcher shop and bakery, and just about everything else is just a few minutes away. Plus we have three weekly farmers' markets in Ciudad Colon.

Ciudad Colón is centrally located, the airport is 25 kilometres away, San José 22, Poas Volcano 54, La Paz Waterfall 59, Pacific Ocean 70 and Caribbean Sea 179.
